This year, from September 13th to 15th, we will come together to emphasize the crucial role of Italian hacker communities in fostering an ethical, open, and collaborative digital culture. MOCA2024 will be a unique opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and discover the latest innovations in the fields of cybersecurity, programming, and digital activism.

The event will feature a wide range of activities, from technical workshops to discussions on current issues, with a special focus on the importance of free and open-source software. We hope MOCA2024 will be a gathering place for both seasoned and novice hackers, where a shared passion for technology and a commitment to a safer, more accessible digital future unite us.

Our theme this year, "Back to the r00t," reflects our desire to return to our origins, rediscover the core values of hacker culture, and delve into the foundations that keep up our community.

We encourage you to participate actively by proposing talks, workshops, and initiatives that showcase the passion and diversity of our community. MOCA2024 is more than an event; it is a celebration of the resilience, creativity, and collaborative spirit that have made Italian hacker communities a leading light on the international stage.

We recognize that the 2020 edition was skipped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but our determination has never vacillated. This year, more than ever, we are excited to reunite, share our experiences, and look forward with optimism and determination, following the editions of 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.
